    Novo protótipo e novo AMG para Nova Iorque

    The latest news coming out from the upcoming 2011 New York International Auto Show in late April is that Mercedes-Benz is planning three worldwide and three North American production debuts. The three world premieres include a never before seen concept model and two AMG cars, the 2012 C63 AMG Coupe that we’ve already showed you, and another one which has not yet been revealed.

    While we can only speculate on the unnamed concept model, it is very likely that the AMG production car is the SLS AMG Roadster as it was recently teased in the German firm’s SuperBowl commercial.

    As for the North American motorshow debuts, these are new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK350, C-Class Coupe, and C-Class (the latter was shown at a special media event on the sidelines of the Detroit Show in January).

                        Why would someone want to upgrade a 451HP Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG remains a mystery to us, but the following car is a good example of the level of performance a C63 AMG can reach with the right aftermarket parts and some very deep pockets. Two years ago, owner Keith Brantley got in touch with aftermarket specialist Modern Horsepower (MHP) and ordered a complete transformation of his C63 AMG. The result is the “Red Brown Arrow”, allegedly the fastest C63 AMG in the world. The car sports MHP's Stage 3CMR Package, which means the car is completely modified mechanically. The reworked naturally-aspirated V8 engine develops 652 horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque (807 Nm), a gain of 201HP and 152 lb-ft (206 Nm) over the stock car.
                        Add to that a nitrous oxide system that lifts maximum power to 900HP and the result is a C63 AMG that can do a 1/4 mile in 10.41 seconds with an exit speed of 135.27 mph (218 km/h). This was achieved on March 25 at the Maryland International Raceway, with only a 125HP shot of nitrous.

                        On the record run, the car went from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.04 seconds and from 0 to 100 mph (160km/h) in 6.19 seconds. Furthermore, the 60 to 130 mph time was 6.59 seconds, 1.2 seconds faster than a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Among the Red Brown Arrow's “victims” are a Corvette ZR-1 and a Porsche Carrera GT at the Top Gun Run standing mile event.
                        One would think that the owner should be pleased with a supercar-beating C63 AMG. Well, he is, except he wants to “complete the package with some cams, better tires & wheels, and slightly larger nitrous jets and hopefully set the bar a little higher next time out.” Scroll down to see the 900HP Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG in action.

                                  eu acredito que tenha mas esses 900cv de um v8 NA, ele deve fazer umas 3 ou 4 passagens e a seguir verifica-se tudo que há para verificar em termos de motor

                                    Uma pequena correção...neste momento há 63 AMG com e sem turbo (NA).

                                    O "OM156" (6200 cm3) é a versão NA e a base de todos os anteriores AMG, actualmente coexiste com o "OM157" (biturbo/5500 cm3), versão esta q está presente no actual E AMG, CLS e Classe S (facelift).

                                    O SLS é servido pelo "OM159" que é nem mais nem menos do q a derradeira evolução do "OM156", e obviamente é NA.

                                    Ps: Os C AMG (facelift ou não) usam a versão NA (OM156).

                                        Mercedes CLC Shooting Brake





                                        Décidément pléthorique, la future "petite" gamme chez Mercedes ! Elle comptera de nombreuses variantes, chapeautées par ce CLC Shooting Brake mondain.


                                        C’est ainsi que, dès 2013, une déclinaison mondaine verra le jour, sous forme d’un coupé à quatre portes nommé CLC (troisième image). Mais ce n’est pas fini. Le CLC sera lui-même transformé en "break de chasse", un brin plus pratique et encore un chouïa plus long. Il devrait donc afficher une longueur de 4,70 m environ, ce qui en fait un concurrent direct de l’Audi A5 Sportback. Comme cette dernière, la Mercedes n’aura pas d’encadrement des vitres latérales, et la modularité se limitera à une simple banquette rabattable. Dans le respect des habitudes prises chez Mercedes, la liste des options sera copieuse, si bien qu’un CLC tout équipé pourra dangereusement s’approcher de la barre des 50.000 €, alors que le ticket d’entrée se situera aux alentours des 32.000 €.


                                        Entre les Classe A et Classe B, le divorce est prononcé. Les petites étoiles sont en train de se répartir les biens communs : la future Classe B, l’une des stars du prochain salon de Francfort, s’approprie ainsi le soubassement, avec son plancher haut perché. Quant aux moteurs, ils seront sous le régime de la garde partagée, sachant qu’il s’agira d’une nouvelle génération de mécaniques. La Classe A, totalement refondue en 2012 en s’inspirant du concept sportif dévoilé mercredi (deuxième image), plus proche d’un coupé premium que de la citadine haute actuelle, y aura également droit. Paradoxe des paradoxes, après leur séparation, les Mercedes compactes vont faire plein de petits !

                                        A l’image des autres modèles de la gamme bâtis sur la nouvelle plate-forme MFA, le CLC sera une traction. Mais, en option, les motorisations les plus vitaminées déclinées à partir du 2 litres turbo de 210 ch pourront entraîner les quatre roues. De plus, selon une bonne source, une version AMG forte de 320 ch serait actuellement à l’étude. De quoi faire grincer les engrenages de la boîte à double embrayage optionnelle.

                                                  A C63 tanto station como carro são lindos e andam bem, agora com o facelift ficaram ainda melhores com o Performance Pack ficam divinais, fazia de propósito todos os dias para me atrasar para o trabalho

                                                    AMG started putting wrenches to Benzes back in 1967, and 44 years later we're still fawning over its products. From the C to the E and all the way up to the SLS, Mercedes-Benz vehicles that wear those three letters on the back are sure to get our blood flowing. The two German companies have formed a valuable partnership, and we expect more amazing vehicles for years to come.

                                                    Before looking too deep into the future, however, it's time to take a look at the past. Mercedes-Benz has prepared a video that provides a brief visual history lesson. The text in the video may have been ported over courtesy of Google Translate, but the meaning is clearly conveyed.                                                       Stuttgart – Mercedes-Benz is ushering in the spring with two new, luxuriously equipped special models in the G-Class. Among other enhancements, an extensive stainless steel package and mounted AMG features ensure a visually striking appearance for the "BA3 Final Edition" based on the short-wheelbase Station Wagon and the "Edition Select" with a long wheelbase. In the interior a Chrome package and many more comfort-enhancing extras dominate the ambience of this classic, which has continued to enjoy the affection of off-roader fans worldwide for no less than 32 years.

                                                      A classic off-roader is entering its final phase: as the model designation suggests, Mercedes-Benz is producing the last edition of the short wheelbase Station Wagon in the successful G-Class with the special "BA3 Final Edition" model. Two variants will be available: in the G 350 BlueTEC a 6-cylinder diesel engine with the very latest BlueTEC emissions control, 155 kW (211 hp) and 540 newton metres for great pulling power both on and off the road. In the G 500 a powerful 5.5-litre V8 petrol engine with 285 kW (388 hp) and 530 newton metres effortlessly performs the same function.

                                                      Both special models of this classic among Mercedes-Benz off-roaders are equipped with the same high-performance drive and dynamic handling control systems. Alongside the permanent all-wheel drive with off-road ratio and the 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission, the standard specification includes the electronically controlled traction system 4ETS, the Electronic Stability Program ESP® and three differential locks with 100-percent locking effect selectable at the push of a button.

                                                      Externally Mercedes-Benz has significantly upgraded the "BA3 Final Edition". AMG flared wheel arches in the vehicle colour, in combination with 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels and tyre size 265/60 R 18, underline the striking appearance of the special model. Running boards and a spare wheel cover with a 3D Mercedes-Benz star in stainless steel, as well as an AMG radiator grille in a 3-louvre design with chrome highlights, emphasise its exceptional position in the range. Standard features also include an electric sliding/tilting sunroof, metallic paintwork, rear mudflaps, carbon-fibre look inserts in the protective strips, an ultrasonic reversing aid and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

                                                      In the interior the driver and passengers are able to enjoy even more generous appointments. Fine details and high-grade technology raise both visual appeal and comfort to a new level. Further highlights are provided by stylish yet functional ambient lighting, as well as chrome highlights on the frame and selector lever cover, seat adjustment controls and the loudspeakers in the front doors. Another eye-catching detail is the chrome luggage compartment sill panel with "Mercedes-Benz" lettering.

                                                      Outstandingly high seating comfort is assured by the multicontour front seats in black leather with seat climatisation. These offer first-class comfort on long journeys, even in mid-summer temperatures. They are accompanied by burr walnut wood trim, and the same, high-grade wood plus leather adorns the steering wheel and selector lever.

                                                      Standard equipment also includes a convenience telephony system in the armrest, with a universal interface for various mobile phone cradles, extended telephone functions, a charging function and an external aerial for optimum reception. Useful accessories include rubber mats for the footwells and load compartment, as well as a load compartment cover including additional stowage boxes.

                                                      As the G 350BlueTEC the "BA3 Final Edition" is priced at € 90,511.40, and as the G 500 € 100,685.90 (both prices include 19% VAT).

                                                      Special "Edition Select" model

                                                      Mercedes-Benz has conceived the special "Edition Select" model with two-tone paintwork exclusively for the long-wheelbase G 500 Station Wagon. At no extra cost, there is a choice of designo mystic white, palladium silver metallic, thulite red metallic and obsidian black metallic. The bumpers, AMG side flaps and exterior mirrors are always painted in obsidian black metallic. Further contrasts are provided by running boards and the spare wheel cover with a 3D Mercedes-Benz star in stainless steel. Other eye-catching features include black-painted 18-inch light-alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design with size 265/60 R 18 tyres, carbon-fibre look inserts in the protective strips, an underguard and an AMG sports exhaust system.

                                                      In the interior the stylish atmosphere is characterised by high-grade two-tone upholstery in porcelain/black designo leather. Single-tone black designo leather is available as an alternative. Ambient lighting and chrome trim in the area of the selector lever, the seat adjustment controls and the loudspeakers in the front doors underline the luxurious standard. The Chrome package is rounded off by a chrome luggage compartment sill protector with "Mercedes-Benz" lettering and a radiator grille with chrome inserts.

                                                      The dashboard, armrest, door handles and parking brake lever are lined in black leather, with contrasting topstitching is some areas. The inner door panels are lined with gathered leather, and black designo velour floor mats with porcelain edging lend a cosy touch to the footwells. Highlights in the interior also include designo wood trim in black piano lacquer. The steering wheel and selector lever are in a leather/piano lacquer combination with contrasting topstitching.

                                                      The already extensive standard equipment is supplemented with stainless steel door sill panels illuminated in white and bearing the lettering "Mercedes-Benz", as well as crash-responsive NECK-PRO luxury head restraints. The Harman Kardon Logic7® surround sound system is among the finest available. It provides an exquisite listening experience in the off-roader, thanks to a 10-channel DSP amplifier with a total output of 450 watts and twelve high-performance loudspeakers.

                                                      The high-grade additional features of the special "Edition Select" model,
                                                      whose status is marked by a corresponding logo on the cover of the stowage compartment in the dashboard console, are priced at € 6735.40 (incl. 19% VAT).

                                                            E63 AMG Station chega aos EUA e E550 apenas com tracção total

                                                            According to a leaked dealer order guide for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class range, we red-blooded Yankees might be able to once again sink our teeth into the super-hot E63 AMG Estate. As you'll recall, Mercedes-Benz decided not to offer the new-for-2010 E63 wagon here in the States, but that is wrong is reportedly being righted for 2012. BenzBoost.com reports that the cargo-hauling AMG stunner will be available for U.S. customers later this year, powered by the same twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 that debuted in the E63 sedan at last month's New York Auto Show, complete with start/stop technology and mated to a seven-speed MCT dual-clutch transmission.

                                                            We can already picture the inevitable E63 AMG Wagon vs. Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon battle, and it looks awesome.

                                                            In other E-Class news, BenzBoost reports that the E550 sedan – which gets a new 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 – will only be available with 4Matic all-wheel drive. A similar move was made to the 2011 CL550 coupe, which uses the same engine and is no longer available in a two-wheel-drive configuration. Stay tuned for the official details later this year.
