Having personally spoken to the engineers on this project (F10 M5), they are currently (and have been) exploring the V10 and V8 routes for this vehicle. Here is an inside tip- if the German "clause" in the US emissions rules goes into effect it may be a V10- if not we will see a TT V8, to deal with the emissions issues. They can get performance of the V8 up there but from a marketing standpoint the V10 is a kick in the pants of other brands. The V10 will be smaller in displacement than the current engine and be turbo charged as well, featuring a trick induction system similar to the CCM on the X5/X6 ///M. 5post.com/

Just over a year ago BMW unveiled the facelifted 3 Series sedan. The time will soon come for the Coupe and the Convertible to show their faces in full too. But for now we must satisfy our curiosity with these spy pictures of both models doing final testing before their public debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Modifications include a new front bumper, headlamps, LED rear lights and a new rear bumper. Previous spy pictures showed only the front bumper in disguise but these snapped shots show the true changes. Both models will exhibit these changes when unveiled in September.

Since BMW has a habit of escorting a new product launch or update with a new engine or an upgraded one, our curiosity is running at full speed trying to figure out which new powerplant will accompany these cars. That information might leak out ahead of the show. If not then the wait will be a long one.

Some two months before the debut of the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show, German manufacturer BMW thought best to preview the vehicles which it will take there. For the first time, BMW will bring all of its three brands -BMW, Rolls Royce and MINI- under the same roof.

The BMW brand will showcase all of its latest vehicles, both already launched and soon to be. The event will witness the BMW EfficientDynamics fleet we already know by now, but also the world premieres of two new hybrid vehicles: BMW ActiveHybrid 7 and BMW ActiveHybrid X6. The already presented BMW 5 Series GT and the BMW X1 will also be attending.

As we were telling you earlier today, BMW will also unveil a new green sports car concept.

"You will see a product of sustainable development at the IAA in Frankfurt in a few weeks in the form of a concept car. The BMW EfficientDynamics Vision will demonstrate how efficient a sports car can be. It will also prove that sustainability does not apply to the drive train alone, but to design and materials as well," Klaus Draeger, BMW member of the board said yesterday.

MINI will take to the show with the MINI 50 Camden and MINI 50 Mayfair as well as "further surprising product innovations." With its 50th birthday to take place on August 26, MINI will use the Frankfurt Show to properly celebrate the event.

The Rolls Royce Ghost will come to the event to show its production version face for the first time. It will not be alone, as the Phantom product range with the Phantom Extended Wheelbase, the Drophead Coupe and the Phantom Coupe will stand by its side.

O técnico do Inter de Milão recebeu das mãos de Andrea Castronovo, representante da BMW em Itália, as chaves de um potente BMW X6 xDrive50i, cedido pela marca até ao final da temporada.
Ao dispor do Special One estarão 407 cavalos, extraídos do motor V8 Biturbo de 4,4 litros que equipa este modelo, capaz de alcançar os 250 km/h de velocidade máxima e cumprir os tradicionais 0-100 km/h em apenas 5,3 segundos. Apesar dos números, este não é o mais potente da gama, estatuto reclamado pelo novo X6 M (na galeria de fotos), com 555 cavalos.
Como curiosidade, o BMW X6 xDrive50i cedido a José Mourinho custa em Portugal, cerca de 115 mil euros.
