Spy shots show possible next-gen Ford Ka
Possibly due in 2015
These are the first spy photos depicting what we believe to be the next generation of the Ford Ka.
Rumors about the Ka's extinction have been swirling around the world wide web since late last year but it seems Ford doesn't want to give up on its microcar just yet. The car hiding beneath the camo could be the third generation of the Ka or a replacement which might receive a new name to give the car a whole new start.
Regardless of its moniker, the prototype seen here has four doors which is a novelty compared to the first two generations of the Ka that were offered only with two doors. We remind you the first-gen model also came as a convertible (StreetKa) and as a sportier-looking version dubbed SportKa.
Details are scarce at the moment, but from these spy pics we notice the new model will be slightly larger than the second-gen Ka and will come with the now familiar generous Aston Martin-like front grille along with Fiesta-inspired taillights. Set to be sold globally, the car will allegedly go on sale sometime around 2015.
