    [Mercado] Hyundai Genesis PM850 Rhys Millen's 775HP

    Hyundai Genesis PM850 Rhys Millen's 775HP

Rhys Millen will be tackling Pike's Peak in the unbelievably-modified RMR Hyundai Genesis PM580, set to run in the Unlimited Class. According to Hyundai's press release, that mean "anything goes". No rules, no restrictions; just build it however you want to and climb the mountain as quickly as possible.
Millen has created "a modern Le Mans style car", trying to keep the carbon fiber-bodied car's weight around 1,850 pounds. Power will come from a turbo'd Hyundai Lambda V6 that's been stroked to 4.1 liters, routed through a Weismann semi-automatic AWD transmission, and spun through a multi-Quaife differential setup to the 17-inch HRE wheels.

An active center differential "will allow a 10 to 100 percent torque split to the front wheels. This is important because the course changes from asphalt to dirt multiple times and allows the Genesis PM580 to have more than one set up on the 12.42-mile course."

Aerodynamically, the car is enhanced with an active rear wing provided by Aeromotions (the same people behind Switzer's recent R35 monster).

Millen says that according to the targeted weight, output would need to be around 675 horsepower to be competitive. With an engine capable of 750 horsepower (according to testing), he'd better hope those carbon fiber Brembos are good.

Percebo pouco ou nada destes carros, porque até nem fazem muito o género que aprecio. Mas quem se interessa por este tipo de máquinas, o que acham?
