Citroen confirma crossover compacto
C5 to become a C Line model
A Citroën representative has disclosed important details about the company's upcoming lineup changes.
The firm's C Line boss Pierre Monferrini announced the French marque is working on a compact crossover to tackle other cars in this segment such as the Peugeot 2008 and the Renault Captur.
In addition, Citroën has finally confirmed the DS Wild Rubis will enter production but they still haven't made up their mind whether the model will be sold in Europe.
The company is also planning a replacement for the C6 which will receive the DS moniker. The car was previewed last year by the stunning Numero 9 concept but Monferrini says "the body is still being evaluated further.”
In related news, the next generation of the C5 will probably be a part of the aforementioned C (Cactus) Line, while the C1 which we already spotted in several spy photos has also been green-lighted for a new gen that will probably be unveiled in September 2014 at Paris Motor Show.
