Ao que parece no espaço de um mês, as protecções DRM do Blu-Ray e do HD-DVD foram crackadas e actualmente é possível fazer backups desses formatos..

Agora a questão que se coloca é se a industria do entretenimento vai desde logo entrar no jogo do gato e do rato que prometeu que faria e se irá alterar o algoritmo de protecção dos novos discos que sairem no futuro...
Se eles fizerem isso, mais uma vez a factura será paga pelo utilizadores que terão que pagar o custo de uma tecnologia DRM que não pediram a ninguém e é de esperar incompatibilidades entre os leitores actuais e possíveis futuros discos..
