Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear

Jesko von Koenigsegg was a passionate gentleman jockey with lifelong ties to Sweden’s equestrian community. His favourite racehorse — the one he rode in his final race in 1976 — was named Sadair’s Spear.

1,300hp(+20hp) on regular unleaded fuel
1,625hp(+25hp) using eco-friendly E85 fuel
-35 kg of weight
Limited to 30 units
During initial shake-down tests at Gotland Ring, Sadair’s Spear immediately shattered the previous lap record, set by the Jesko Attack by an impressive 1.1 seconds, demonstrating its immense untapped potential.

KOENIGSEGG Sadair's Spear | Gotland Ring Lap Record
The Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear set a lap record for homologated production cars at Gotland Ring during its first shakedown laps on June 16, 2025.

The vehicle used was one of the Sadair's Spear test cars, driven by Development Test Driver Markus Lundh.

The 7.3 km (4.5-mile) Gotland Ring is renowned for its challenging layout and dynamic terrain, blending fast straights with technically demanding corners. Nestled on Sweden’s largest island, this eco-conscious circuit features sweeping curves and significant elevation changes, putting both driver skill and vehicle performance to the test. The Sadair's Spear set a new lap time of 2:55.88, recorded and verified by Racelogic.

KOENIGSEGG Sadair's Spear | Laguna Seca Lap Record

The Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear has established a new lap record for homologated production cars at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on November 4, 2025. Despite a strict 90 dB noise limit on the day — a challenge met by fitting an additional, heavy muffler behind the rear of the Sadair’s Spear — factory test driver Markus Lundh achieved a blistering lap time of 1:24.16, verified by Racelogic. With minimal time on track, this achievement highlights the outstanding performance of the Sadair’s Spear and Koenigsegg’s proven in-house engineering solutions — even while contending with the added pendulum weight of the auxiliary muffler mounted behind the car.

Performance Highlights
  • Racing-derived aerodynamics generating up to 800 kg of downforce at 250 km/h - placing the CCGT1 between the Jesko Attack and Sadair’s Spear for peak downforce, while delivering optimized accessible grip on slick tires.
  • A new active rear wing with 30 degrees of automatic adjustment, transitioning between low-drag, air-brake, and high-downforce modes without driver input.
  • Twin-turbo V8 producing 1,280 hp on standard pump fuel and 1,600 hp on E85 biofuel.
  • An all-new, LST-based Koenigsegg Sequential Shift (KSS), featuring a clutch for take-off and ignition cuts for clutchless shifts - just like the original CCGT.
  • Koenigsegg’s award-winning Engage Shift System (ESS), offered as an optional gated six-speed manual. Paddles and automatic shifting are available with both configurations.
  • Koenigsegg’s first-ever optional, factory-designed track package, including slick tires, a carbon roll cage, racing seats, air jacks, data logging, and more - transforming the CCGT1 into the fastest-lapping Koenigsegg ever.
