Que treta de recorde... Um carro que só pode ser comprado nos EUA, onde retiram potência sem cumprir as normas Europeias como cumpre o Veyron.
Ainda lhe falta comer muita broa...

[Crank and Piston] - Hennessey Venom GT ‘World’s Fastest Edition’

                http://www.crankandpiston.com/on-the...stest-edition/

Hennessey Venom GT gets a new Americana paint finish and a new special edition model, the ‘World’s Fastest Edition’.

At first glance, given the Venom GT ‘World’s Fastest Edition’ moniker, you’d think that Hennessey has outdone itself once again and produced a model even faster than its current Guinnes World Record holder. And you’d be wrong.

The ‘World’s Fastest Edition’ is in fact one of only three limited edition models to have been produced by Hennessey to celebrate its recent record breaking run. The Venom GT now holds the Guinness World Record for 0-300kph standing start acceleration, having hit 300kph off the line in an eye watering 13.63 seconds. Thankfully the new limited edition comes with the same fiery, kidney rupturing 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the record holder, and produces the same 1244bhp (a terrifying 1bhp/kg weight-ratio) and more than 1155lb ft of torque. Plus a spiffy new red, white and blue paint finish in deference to Hennessey’s US of A base of operations.

If you were hoping to rip Hennessey’s record to shreds though, there are a couple of problems. Firstly, we’ve heard that renting the NASA Kennedy Space Center runway – where the record-breaking run was set – for a few weeks of development and preparation can prove a tad expensive. Also, each of the $1.25 million models has already been earmarked.

Last Hennessey Venom GT Rolled Off The Production Line

Hennessey announced the end of the Venom GT’s production run, showing us the last one of its breed which is rather appropriately named ‘Final Edition’.

The Hennessey Venom GT Final Edition is finished in a “Glacier Blue” paintjob with white stripes while taking its power by a monstrous twin-turbo 7.0-litre V8 with a total of 1,451hp.

The Texan company has already sold the last Venom GT for the price of $1,2 million, with the total production run to include six hardtops and six roadsters, plus one running prototype.
Hennessey’s Venom F5 is going to be the next chapter, with the company saying that it will offer 1,500hp, a 290mph top speed and a 0-60mph in 2 seconds flat when it reaches a very limited production run.

Hennessey Confirms Chiron-Challenging Venom F5 Debut At SEMA On November 1

Hennessey Performance will reveal the new Venom F5, a twin-turbo V8 hypercar to challenge the Bugatti Chiron, at SEMA in Las Vegas on November 1.

The Texan company hopes that the Venom F5 will be the fastest car in the world, beating Bugatti’s finest in outright speed, just as it did with its predecessor the Venom GT a few years back.

Unlike its predecessor, the new Venom F5 will ride on a bespoke carbon-fiber tub while power will come from a twin-turbo V8 that produces close to 1,500hp. All this power will be transmitted through a single-clutch paddle-shifter with Hennessey expected to offer a manual option as well.

Hennessey expects the new Venom F5 to be nearly half-a-tone lighter than the Chiron too which will help them significantly with their top speed goals. John Hennessey said that he expects his new baby to top out “in the 290mph range” during an interview with Top Gear magazine.

The new hypercar was designed by a new division called Hennessey Special Vehicles, with the production taking place at Hennessey’s facilities in Texas. All we have to do is wait for November to come to find out all the details.

Hennessey Unveils 1,600 HP, 301 MPH Venom F5 In Vegas, Beats Chiron

Hennessey's all-new hypercar, the Venom F5, was built with just one goal in mind, to be the fastest road car in the world. With a top speed in excess of 300 mph (482 km/h), all we can say is they've done it!

Mated to a 7-speed single clutch paddle shift transmission, the car's new twin turbo V8 unit will send over 1,600 HP to the rear tires, all while dragging along a curb weight of just 2,950 lbs (1,338 kg). This combo of power, low drag and light weight should take the car from 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) in less than 10 seconds, making the Venom F5 faster than any current Formula 1 car.

Zero to 249 mph (400 km/h) and back to zero can be achieved in under 30 seconds, whereas the top speed is projected to exceed 300 mph (482 km/h).

Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution | COTA Production Car Lap Record | 2:10.90

Hennessey Special Vehicles, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, has set a new road car lap record at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) with a blistering 2:10.90 lap of the 3.41-mile-long racetrack.

For the record-setting lap, independent, third-party timing was conducted by RACELOGIC using their VBOX satellite telemetry and data logging systems. The Venom F5 Revolution that completed the fastest road car lap ran on street legal tires, used regular Shell pump ethanol, and was filled with standard Pennzoil fluids.

Right from launch, Hennessey set out to build ‘the Decathlete of Hypercars’. The objective for the 1,817 bhp twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 hypercar was not only to surpass 300 mph, but to also be a highly capable track car. Driven by the manufacturer’s in-house test driver, David Donohue, the Venom F5 demonstrated the extent of its capability pulling up to +1.59 G in the corners and -1.61 G under braking. This extreme performance was achieved on street-legal MICHELIN Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and utilized Brembo brakes, carbon ceramic discs, and the latest Bosch ABS technology to brake from almost 200 mph safely and under control.

“Racing, and life, is often more about the journey than the destination. Seeing the Venom F5 take the production car lap record at our home circuit has been an important part of our journey with the F5. We don’t do these things because they are easy, we do them because they are hard. The process of pushing our American hypercar to the limits makes our team of engineers, designers, and technicians better while also delivering an enhanced product and experience to our clients. We look forward to continuing the journey and pushing the Venom F5 to set new speed records in the future.”-
                                                    John Hennessey
