Mithos EV Concept - Tiago Miguel Inácio

Este dá-me um "gosto especial" partilhar: é feito por um português. Por um lado fico também contente por ter encontrado este projecto em sites internacionais.

Tiago Miguel Inácio (formou-se em Design Industrial na Faculdade de Arquitectura de Lisboa, tem agora 33 anos, tendo concluído o curso em 2001), iniciou este projecto em 2006 como exercício de estilo e modelagem. No entanto, o projecto não estagnou e, em 2011, foi melhorado de modo a poder ser feito um vídeo-teaser. Esta última etapa realizada em 2011 demorou, aproximadamente, 3 meses.

Para este projecto, Tiago teve como referência "o Batmobile do Tim Burton e vários carros e protótipos".

Audi 2lip (2050) by Davide Varenna

Mi chiamo Davide Varenna, ho 22 anni e frequento un master di Transportation Design presso l’università di Pforzheim, in Germania.
Vi scrivo per mostrarvi il lavoro svolto in questo primo semestre, nella speranza che vi possa interessare e che vogliate pubblicarlo sul vostro blog.
Il brief consisteva nel realizzare un veicolo per il 2050, pensato principalmente per un pubblico over 60. Le statistiche parlano infatti di una crescita vertiginosa di questa categoria di utenti nei prossimi decenni. Il progetto non doveva dunque essere un semplice esercizio di pura fantasia, bensì rispondere ad una problematica che le case automobilistiche dovranno affrontare nei prossimi decenni. Pur presentando caratteristiche che soddisfacessero i bisogni di questo target, il prodotto doveva però essere desiderabile anche per un pubblico più giovane.
L’Audi 2lip da me progettata è pensata principalmente per garantire un facile accesso all’abitacolo: il concept principale da cui sono partito consisteva nell’avere avere un’auto che si aprisse e si chiudesse come un fiore, così che i passeggeri potessero camminare dentro all’abitacolo senza incontrare alcun ostacolo.

Nissan X-Patrol de Samir Sadikhov

Samir Sadikhov, um design formado no IED Turim, desenhou um carro ao qual chamou Nissan X-Patrol. O carro tem um aspecto algo futurista, sendo uma reinterpretação da linguagem seguida pela marca no que toca a design, prestando ao mesmo tempo, segundo ele, "homenagem aos entusiastas de jipes da Nissan".

Xezri concept de Samir Sadikhov

Este é também de Samir Sadikhov, o mesmo designer do Nissan X-Trail. O Xezri foi criado há dois anos para o Ferrari World Design Contest, ficando em segundo lugar. O nome deriva de um vento do ocidente do Mar Cáspio.

"É uma síntese do conhecimento tecnológico e da experiência desportiva", que incorpora "a quinta-essência, o máximo apuramento, do passado e do presente da Ferrari e um olhar sobre a Ferrari do futuro".

IED Turin graduate Samir Sadikhov took second place in the Ferrari World Design Contest with his Xezri concept, and now we have a full gallery of images as well as a video of the study.

Sadikhov explains that Xezri was named after, “a local wind which is in the western part of Caspian sea,” and that it exemplifies an innovative, high-technology solution to the needs of a lightweight car for both the road and track.

It is, he says, “a synthesis of its technological knowledge and its sporting experience,” that embodies, “the quintessence of Ferrari past and present and looks to the Ferrari of the future”.

Sadikhov’s main focus in the design was on increasing downforce through aerodynamics, the deletion of wing mirrors and other drag-inducing components, a flat underbody and deforming aerolastic winglets inspired by the Ferrari 458 Italia.

The young designer from Azerbaijan attempted to reduce weight through extensive use of carbon-fibre on both the exterior and interior. He wanted his design to be seen as, “very original, elegant, pure, modern, simple,” as well as, “dynamic” and, “lightweight, simple and striking”.

Like Rolls-Royce’s Spirit of Ecstasy, the Xezri is, “supposed to look like beauty fluttering in the wind”.

Unique features abound, like the centrally-mounted F1 / jet fighter inspired cockpit with room for only the driver and twin touch-screens in place of wing mirrors and analogue buttons / switches.

There are also two horizontally mounted air propellers that generate electrical power for the interior and gauges when the Xezri is on the move. And that great silver wing, that dominates the design’s top-down view, doubles as both an air intake and an adjustable aerodynamic spoiler.

It is truly an inspired design, and one of the best Sadikhov has produced so far. I think it would be best to leave you with his summary of the design:

“Xezri [is] designed for [the] owner for whom the priority is on uncompromising on-road performance [and] occasional track day capability, but who still demand a car that is useable in day-to-day driving like all Ferrari’s models.”

Aston Martin DBC Concept

Já postado pelo BLADERUNNER no tópico da Aston Martin, fica aqui mais um trabalho de Samir Sadikhov, o mesmo designer que fez os últimos dois trabalhos que postei neste tópico: o Ferrari Xezri e o Nissan X-Patrol.

Desta vez, tal como já está escrito, é um Aston Martin. O carro "visionado" neste projecto tem motor central e tracção traseira. "O estilo do carro é o característico da marca, podendo ser facilmente posto em produção sob o desígnio da marca". Tem a grelha típica da marca, saída de ar lateral também semelhante à utilizada pela marca.

Segundo Samir, o objectivo era "assegurar que o desenho do carro era puro, limpo e moderno, sendo ao mesmo tempo possível passar a mão na frente do carro e reconhecê-lo como um Aston Martin".

DBC is a PERSONAL super car design study that brings a rear mid-engine/rear-wheel drive layout to Aston Martin for the first time. Its design work was undertaken by Samir Sadikhov, young designer from Azerbaijan who won the 2nd Prize of Ferrari World Design Contest with his Xezri concept, and his key objective was to produce a thoroughly modern Aston Martin. Another aim was to ensure that the exterior layout and equipment were unique to Aston Martin and could be easily carried over into the production car.

Aston Martin DBC

WCF reader Samir Sadikhov has sent us several photos of an Aston Martin DBC Concept, his vision of a rear mid-engine RWD coming from Gaydon.

If the name Samir Sadikhov seems familiar, that's because he took second place in the Ferrari World Design Contest in 2011 with his Xezri Concept. You also might remember Samir from his Cadillac C-Ville envisioned as a more luxurious XTS.

His latest project is of a "thoroughly modern Aston Martin" with regular AM styling which could be easily carried over to a production version. Typical Aston Martin design cues include the front grille's shape and side strakes wrapped around in a more modern package to make the car "look like a muscular athlete wearing a tailor-made suit."

Samir says his objective was "to ensure that the car's design was pure, clean and modern, while at the same time you should be able to put your hand over the front nose badge and still recognize the car as an Aston Martin."

A.J. Merk fez duas "propostas" para um coupé da Cadillac

O primeiro dos dois estudos é um coupé de alta performance com elementos em carbono:

O segundo seria um coupé de 2 lugares, também este de alta performance, embora eléctrico. O comprimento deste carro deveria rondar os 4 metros:

Without a doubt, Cadillac is experiencing one of its best moments in decades, and the future promises to be even better as GM's top brand replaces current models with new ones (see new CTS and the upcoming Escalade), and ventures into new territories and niches (the flagship LTS sedan and the ELR extended range coupe) as it prepares to battle the German establishment.

One category where many would like to see Cadillac be more active is the coupe segment. From what we know, the Detroit brand is currently working on a two-door ATS, which should arrive next year, followed in 2015 or 2016 by the CTS Coupe, with both models to receive the V and V Sport treatment.

Independent design student A.J. Merk from Cleveland, Ohio, has come up with two fresh ideas for a Cadillac Coupe.

The first one is for an edgy performance coupe with visible carbon fiber elements on both ends of the car, which we imagine would be based on the ATS platform.

Merk says the second study is for a "high performance electric Cadillac 2- seater approximately the same length as a Solstice.
