DONKERVOORT D8 GTO - FIRST HEARTBEAT - YouTube
Donkervoort have announced three new models for this year, the D8 GTO-S, D8 GTO-RS and D8 GTO-R.
The D8 GT-S is being termed as the ultimate Donkervoort for the street. The S model features the same performance levels of GTO however now the focus has been shifted to providing more comfort to make those road trips even more enjoyable. This model will be available for €115,173 from February 2016 with first deliveries starting from March.
The next model in the lineup is the D8 GTO-RS. The RS moniker makes a return in 2016 and has got big shoes to fill in. Donkervoort have spent almost two years in the development of this car from scratch. They like to call it as the ‘Ultimate GTO’. This model will be limited to 40 units with a starting price of €151,173. The Rs will be available from June 2016.
The final car in the range is a track only version of the GTO-RS. The GTO-R(Race) is the first racing car in Donkervoort’s history which spawns over four decades. The GTO-R as expected will be street illegal and will be available for sale from Autumn 2016 with prices starting from €251,173.
Price? The Naked Edition will set you back a cool €182,000 (about $218,000), before taxes.
This is his company's latest model: the Donkervoort D8 GTO-JD70, made to celebrate his 70th birthday. It's wild: it has a 415bhp Audi 5-cylinder engine under the hood, on Nankang track day tyres it's said to be able to corner at 2G. It's beautifully put together, has a top speed of 174mph, can do 0-62mph in a claimed 2.7sec and costs, including taxes, some £176,000 in the UK.

New Donkervoort P24 RS: Most Extreme Lightweight Supercar! | 4K
This is the Donkervoort P24 RS, and it’s what the Lotus (and Caterham) 7 might have become if that little sports car hadn’t stuck rigidly to its lithe formula. Instead, Donkervoort has evolved the recipe, embracing big power, aero, sticky tyres and even creating its own Formula 1-grade carbonfibre. The P24 RS still weights only 780kg, but is now pushed along by 600hp! It remains a lightweight then – in fact the only thing chunky about it is the price, at upwards of £300k – but is this an overpriced and overambitious 7 or an extreme lightweight thriller that proves the future of performance doesn’t have to be 1000hp+ plug-in hybrid supercars?
