"If you see the statistics, compared to my rival [Rossi], we beat him in everything, everything.
"Victories, pole positions, fast laps, laps leading the race, leading the practice - just in the podiums and the regularity they beat us.

"Also because of the circumstances - some races it rained and when I could [have] finish first or second, it rained and I couldn't get the best result."

"It's just the beginning of my season that was bad," he said. "[That stopped] me from arriving at Valencia probably with 20, 30 or even 40 points ahead.

"And it's clear. Every people who know about bikes, who saw me on the track, who saw me on TV and are not clearly supporting one rider, can see this thing."

É a triste realidade:

Valentino Rossi: “We build this season from the first race, and at the end it was anyway a great season. I was always competitive and never make any mistakes. I think that after Motegi I have the potential to win the championship but unfortunately from the race in Phillip Island something changed and in these last three races we saw something that we never saw before in our sport.

“I think that the situation was already bad, but today was embarrassing for everybody because it was unbelievable, the behaviour of Marquez is something very bad for everything, especially for the sport. It is something that nobody expects, because a Honda rider that made a Yamaha rider win and give the maximum just to push out his teammate is something that nobody expect and I think it is very, very bad news. Anyway, it is like this, we have to accept.

“I am happy because now everybody see what I said in Australia and I don’t understand the behaviour of Marquez but sincerely for me it is very difficult to say something to him because I hope that he will understand what he did in these last three races in the future of his career.

“For sure the Hondas were faster. We know that in the second part of the race Honda have a better potential but Marquez just protect Lorenzo like he did in Phillip Island and also Sepang. At the end I think that also Lorenzo have to not be very happy, as it is not a Championship that was won on track. But anyway is memories.”

In a bizarre twist, Lorenzo appeared to support Rossi's claim in an interview with Movistar MotoGP channelWhilst denying that "any pact" existed between him and Marquez he intimated that his compatriots had helped him win the title by not passing him.
"They knew what I had in play," Lorenzo said.
"The fact they are Spaniards like me helped me.
"That helped me because for sure in another kind of race they would have tried to overtake which they didn't this time."

He added: "If Valentino had been in my position and with Italians behind they would have done exactly the same.
"The title had to be for Spain."

Marquez meanwhile brushed aside any suggestions he and Pedrosa had helped Lorenzo."Dani and I tried 100 percent and that was shown whether it was here, in Malaysia, in Australia, in other races, we always gave 100 percent."
When asked about Rossi fans thinking he had colluded to help Lorenzo Marquez replied: "For a winner, accusations of letting another person win is a lack of respect and an insult because we always go out to win."
