Quais? Estes??
Frank A. DeMartini, WTC Project managment.
"The building was designed to have a fully loaded 707 crashing into it. I believe the building could probably sustain a multiple plane crash since the structure is like a insect net, if you create a puncture in one place it doesn't affect the rest of the building"
Jonathan R. Barnett, PH.D. Worcester Polytechnic Institute
"I have not seen until recently (WTC) a protected steel structure building collapsing due fire"
Paul Goldberger, Architect Critic
"The WTC was different from another, it was constructed following what the engineers call tube structure, it was a very, very strong mesh of steel that surrounded the exterior"
Eric Hufschmid, Metal-Cutting Expert
"The floor has 1000 m2 area, and thousand of joints. To the floor come down, all the joints must have break simultaneously. And if you see the speed of the building coming down, less than 10 seconds, the only way it could happen is with explosives in the primary joints"
Judy Wood, Ph.D. Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Clemson University
"A billiard ball coming from the top of WTC will take around 9 seconds, the same that took the WTC to fall down. A true Pancaked floor collapse would take around 1:32 min"
Steven Jones, Physics Professor, Brigham Young University
"The best hypotheses in FEMA report and the only one they look at, the fire has a low probability of occurrence, further analyses are needed to resolve that issue. Molten metal found in the basement of the 3 buildings and the entire scientists agree that the fire was not sufficient to melt the steel, so what is that molten metal? It is a direct evidence for the use of a high temperature explosive such as thermite. Thermite produces molten metal as a end product."
Jack LoiZeaux, Controlled Demolition Inc.
"The mission on controlled demolition is to break the building in millions of pieces and put it on is basement, and it works like clockwork. It all goes down to a science"
Ramon Gilsanz, Structural Engineer, managing partner at Gilsanz, Murray, Steficer.
"Engineers are not only focused on the twin towers, the most disturbing structural event were not how the twin towers felt but the how the tower 7 felt with fire alone. The failure of the building was an implosion, were the floor failed first"
Kevin Ryan, manager in Underwriters Laboratories
"I was fired from my job five days after sending a letter to the government scientist of NIST questioning the report that they had publicised in October 2004. I had serious questions of what I have seen in the report. Those questions went back to September 2001 when UL CEO came to us telling that the WTC steel was certified by UL. In the next 3 years I have done some research and I have discovered that the steel have been disposed in a unprecedented manner. Then I asked the UL CEO what he was doing to protect our reputation. He answered telling that they tested the steel and the quality was very good, and he told me to wait for the NIST report since they were working together. When came the report, I had some questions and since I felt in the obligation from my part to ask those questions since no one else seemed to care. After the bombing in 1993 the fire proof in both buildings were upgraded considerably. But when looking at the report of NIST you don't see any test proving the impact of the plane would wipe-out all fireproofing. We were left with a new theory that is not a theory but a collection of vague statements. The NIST report shows what we can call Anti-Science. They started with a conclusion and work their way back to some hypotheses. Also the physical tests showed that the temperature were far too low to soften steel and that the floors would not collapse, so the fireproof would not be widely dislodged and the NIST ignored those facts and built a black box computer model that no one can argue with."
Bart Voorsanger, Architect
"Architects, engineers, welders, just haven't seen the level of destruction and the level of deformation of this material in all their lives."
