But there’s much more here than just the F1. Every car in the collection is the final example of its kind and each one has a story. One of the most moving is the McLaren Elva, delivered after Mansour’s passing. In a powerful gesture of respect, McLaren replaced the usual badges with Mansour’s own emblem, a quiet tribute to one of the brand’s founding forces.

McLaren's First SUV Is Coming In 2028 With a Hybrid V-8: Report

McLaren has been teasing the idea of a performance SUV for several years, but now it may finally become a reality. According to a new report, the British supercar manufacturer’s first high-riding performance vehicle is set to debut in 2028, complete with a hybrid V-8 powertrain.

During the event, McLaren executives reportedly unveiled a sporty SUV internally referred to as the "P47."

One of the major launches will reportedly be a hybrid coupe producing nearly 800 horsepower. Powered by a V-6 with a mild-hybrid system, the car is expected to arrive in 2027. That same year, McLaren is also said to be preparing a final edition of the current 750S, featuring a roof scoop and a larger rear wing.

Notably absent from the dealer meeting was any mention of McLaren’s rumored all-electric supercar. Earlier this year, Collins confirmed that a high-performance EV remains in development but isn’t a near-term priority. For now, it seems electric McLaren fans will have to wait a little longer.

A historic night in Abu Dhabi.

RM Sotheby’s achieved a landmark result at its inaugural Abu Dhabi Collectors’ Week auction, grossing $85 million to become the most successful collector car auction ever held in the Middle East. Bidders participated from 45 countries during the four-day celebration of luxury, collecting, and craftsmanship.

Leading the sale was a 1995 McLaren F1 that sold for $25,317,500, setting a new auction record for the model. Other standout results included the 2026 McLaren Formula 1 Team MCL40A at $11,480,000, a 2006 Pagani Zonda Riviera at $10,130,000, and the first publicly offered Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 at $5,630,000.

Delivered new to the Brunei Royal Family in Titanium Yellow over black, it was later rebuilt by McLaren in Woking in 2007, repainted in Ibis White, and upgraded with the High Downforce Kit and an LM-spec interior. It has now become the most expensive McLaren F1 sold publicly.​
