570S Spider

The two-piece retractable roof uses tech originally for the Spider variants of the 650S and 675LT. McLaren reports that the mechanism adds 101 pounds (46 kilograms) over the 570S Coupe, and this is the only extra weight for the droptop. Plus, there’s no loss in structural rigidity over the variant with the fixed top, and the convertible's chassis doesn’t require any extra components for stiffening.

When it’s time to enjoy the fresh air, drivers can drop the top in just 15 seconds at speeds up to 25 miles per hour (40 kilometers per hour). The roof closes just as quickly.

Como a McLaren não tem um stand cá fica difícil saber o preço mas no Reino Unido pelo menos é mais caro que o R8 V10 Spyder mas porque achas que não tem hipótese nenhuma? Pode não ter um motor tão envolvente mas tem melhor chassis e é mais rápido tanto em recta como em curva, pelo menos se o piso tiver seco, é provavelmente mais confortável, tem uma exclusividade muito maior e pessoalmente acho o McLaren mais bonito. A vantagem do R8 é possivelmente a fiabilidade?, a assistência e ser mais fácil de usar na cidade e à chuva (estes dois últimos só valem para alguns).

McLaren 600LT

The McLaren 600LT’s silhouette has been elongated by 74 mm (2.91 inches), as the car features an extended front splitter, a longer rear diffuser and a fixed rear wing. If that’s not impressive enough, know that more than 23% of its parts are different than what you’ll find on a regular McLaren 570S Coupe.


With weight, a reduction of 96 kg (211 lbs) was achieved compared to the 570S Coupe, bringing the total dry weight to just 1,247 kg (2,749 lbs). Add to that the 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 engine, with 600 PS (591 HP) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque, and you get a power-to-weight ratio of 481 PS/tonne.


Lightweight carbon fiber bodywork contributes to the 600LT being light on its feet, while the unique top-exit exhausts give the car a distinctive look, while also providing it with a great soundtrack. Other features include the forged aluminum double-wishbone suspension, lightweight braking system, track-focused Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, quicker steering, sharpened responses from the throttle and brake pedals, firmer engine mounts and more downforce courtesy of the large rear diffuser.
