Eu acompanhava com bastante interesse o Dakar até aquilo ter saído de África. Confesso que fiquei triste, perdeu grande parte da mística.

Agora acompanho muito por alto.
 
Parece-me claramente que existia espaço para dois dakar, quer a prova da america do sul quer a prova de africa são fabulosas.
Este ano é uma pena não estar nenhum Race Touareg, nem nos privados,parece-me que vai ser um passeio para os minis, se bem que a BMW não tem sido pródiga em fiabilidade.
A competição das motas e dos camiões vai ser muito interessante. Nas motas é sempre interessante, nos camiões tem sido menos, mas este ano os Iveco parece-me que vão dar luta aos Kamaz!
 
Essa toyota está bem fixe!!

Têm para mim uma coisa positiva que é para mim o segundo melhor piloto de TT.
 
Falta ai o carro 300 que vai ser um Hummer nas mão do Nasser Al-Attiyah. Vai ser um show.

Sereg segue com atenção que continua espectacular.

Este ano a X Raid vai dominar a não ser que aconteça uma catástrofe. E será também o melhor ano para o Leal dos Santos tentar brilhar. Mesmo sendo aguadeiro da equipa pode sempre com a ajuda dos azares dos outros chegar-se à frente.

A ver o que o Sousa faz com o carro chinês que do pouco que se viu é um projecto ambicioso, e o carro é rápido. Se durar pode andar nos 10 primeiros.

Os Toyota são a gasolina e por isso vou torcer por eles, mas duvido que tenham andamento para o Peterhansel numa armada da X Raid, equipa muito bem preparada. Isto até pode dar passeio da X- Raid até ao fim dado a diferença para as restantes equipas.

Os ingredientes estão lá, acho que vai ser ano de grande Dakar nos carros.

Nas motas temos o Hélder que vai cheio de vontade de ganhar. :)

Car number 300 that is usually kept for the title holder will finally be present at the start of the 2012 Dakar. It will indeed be set on a Hummer that Nasser Al Attiyah will be driving for Team Robby Gordon, with Lucas Cruz as his co-driver.

Achieving his dream after a fantastic battle with team mate Carlos Sainz, the flying Qatari was forced to settle with the strategic choices of Volkswagen that left him without a steering wheel after retiring from off-road rallies. Always keen for new projects, Al Attiyah bounced back once again in style and will live a rather busy 2012 year, including a WRC season, the London Olympics in shooting and of course a mouth-watering start with the Dakar where he will defend his title in a … Hummer!


His name was announced or whispered in all the title-contending teams, but it will finally be as Robby Gordon's team mate that Al Attiyah will start the 2012 Dakar. And Qatar hasn't finished gaining in notoriousness: indeed the Hummer H3 that will be prepared for him by the North Carolina based team will be carrying the colours of his country. "The thought of not doing the Dakar almost made me sick but things eventually turned around. It's fantastic because it's a new challenge for me and I'm proud of being able to represent Qatar", insisted a delighted Nasser who doesn't forget that his main goal will be to manage a double on the Dakar, a performance that only Ari Vatanen has achieved in two different cars (1990-1991 / Peugeot-Citroën). Until now, the best performance of the Hummer was third spot back on the 2009 Dakar when Gordon had only been beaten by the Race Touareg VWs of Giniel De Villiers and Mark Miller. With a virtuoso of the calibre of Al Attiyah and a totally new panorama in terms of title contenders, all hopes are alive.
 
Não há nem VW nem Sainz este ano.

A VW abandonou o Dakar para investir no WRC, e o Sainz não arranjou carro competitivo.
