Só digo obrigado a deus por me ter deixado viver algum tempo com ele, e ter-me dado a oportunidade de ver em pessoa aquilo que ele fez, embora só tenha apanhado poucos anos, mas serão inesqueciveis...

Para mim a F1 morreu com o senna!!!
Quem não sem lembra dos anos em que as corridas eram dis****das entre senna, mansel, prost, patrese.....
Não digo que a F1 não seja um desporto engraçado e com piada, e que não existam pilotos tão bons ou ainda melhores que o Senna, o Senna foi o Senna e a sua forma de pilotar era unica e isso sim era entusiasmante, a forma como nunca desistia!!!
Só vi isso num piloto depois de senna e, esse piloto, tal como senna, foi o que despertou mais emoções em todo o circo da F1, adorado por uns, odiado por outros!!
Fui dos que o odiei, talvez por ser ele o grande sucessor de Senna como grande piloto de F1 (talvez eu não quisesse ou não estivesse preparado para que existisse alguem tão bom ao fim de tão pouco tempo) mas ele merece e tem subido na minha considaração pela forma como o ano passado e este ano está a encarar a luta desigual com os monolugares da Renault.
Mas já não fico em pulgas para ver F1 como ficava!! Já não existe vontade de ver os treinos qualificados, já não existe pachorra de ver um piloto fazer as 60 voltas de uma corrida sem sequer ser incomodado!!!
Espero que no céu tb haja F1 pq eu quero voltar a vê-lo correr..............

Para mim será sempre o maior piloto de todos os tempos.
Para os fâs, era quase como um irmão que aos Domingos nos fazia acreditar que era sempre possível.
Lembro-me bem desse dia 1 de Maio de 1994 e nunca quis acreditar que havia morrido, houve algumas informações contraditórias logo na altura, a dizerem que o tinham visto mexer....no fim da tarde já mais nada havia a dizer, estava morto.
Não digo que a F1 tenha morrido com ele, mas o entusiasmo nunca mais será o mesmo.

For obvious reasons F1 Racing's scoop is not fully reproduced here, but we feel 'duty-bound' to make the following observations --
The article begins: "To the background of Italy's new-found legal correctness the Senna trial ground into motion."
Why say it is 'new-found' the 'law of the land' is nothing NEW?
"The public prosecutor, Maurizio Passarini, also declared that he would admit as evidence a photo taken by regular contributor to F1 Racing, Paul-Henri Cahier."
Maurizio Passarini, aware of the photographs since the accident, said they were nothing new and not relevant to the cause of the crash.
"F1 Racing's GP consultant Peter Windsor, pointed out that the bright colour - and location - of the bodywork could well have caused Senna to change slightly his trajectory into Tamburello - placing him on a series of bumps that he would have normally avoided."
Well... At the trial Formula 1 driver Pierluigi Martini said: The bump effect was normal.
Michele Alboreto said: Senna's shift to the right makes me think it was a mechanical failure. The bumps on the Imola track surface were minor and would not have forced Senna's car off the track.
Re Senna's Williams: "And at this point, remember that the tyre pressures were down and it's tyre surface temperatures low."
But were they? Reports stated Senna with a fully loaded car clocked 1 min 24.887sec on the sixth lap of the restarted race.
Only two drivers bettered it - Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher and that was at the end of the San Marino Grand Prix.
A feeble justification?
"The F1 world in part seemed convinced that Windsor's article, which also uncovered Senna's habit of occasionally holding his breath for the opening lap of a race, had been 'placed' by the Williams team in order to bolster their defence."
"Totally untrue," says Windsor. "I began to research the story in August last year, long before the trial dates were known, and always knew I would be unable to tap any sources I may have had at Williams."
Theories involving 'breathing' and/or 'mediums' deserve no further comment...
Press reports in June 1996 stated that Maurizio Passarini was asking for manslaughter charges to be brought.
The Sunday Times newspaper stated that when they learnt of the pictures Cahier agreed to publication.
So seemingly, it took from August 1996 until FOUR days before the start of the Senna trial on February 20 1997 for Peter Windsor's contribution: "Photograph explains riddle of Senna's Death" to be completed ...

The in-car footage transmitted from Ayrton Senna's car was supplied by the Formula One Constructors Association (FOCA) to Williams Grand Prix Engineering in May 1994.
Maurizio Passarini, the chief prosecutor in the Senna manslaughter trial, said he had asked for the pictures from Senna's car on May 9 1994 but the FOCA representatives claim that the request had been interpreted as 'shots of the impact' which did not exist.
The videotape was finally received by the Italian authorities on September 9 1996, and the above image was the last shot shown.
However, Maurizio Passarini has said he believes the tape had been doctored and that the final second of the in-car footage existed.
Speaking to reporters outside the courtroom on May 14 1997, Passarini stated:
"I am certain that the pictures supplied by the FOCA are not complete. Several details show this to be the case."
In 1994 when the existence of the videotape was finally disclosed, TV experts privately expressed their scepticism at the way the pictures ended - the very moment that Senna's car starts to veer off the track at the Tamburello curve...
The version initially shown on Brazil's TV Globo reportedly ended 12.8 seconds into Senna's fatal lap. The data from the cars computer memory is said to have indicated that the crash had occurred at 14.2 seconds, therefore 1.4 secs was missing. The video viewed in the courtroom on May 14 showed a gap of 0.9secs…
FOCA threatens libel action
"The film finished because our television director decided to cut to another shot", the FOCA claims, and they have asked the Italian authorities to consider prosecuting Passarini.
The FOCA believes the statements made by Maurizio Passarini were defamatory and there is no evidence to prove his accusations.
One moment in time
Prosecution experts claim that there was fatigue-crack damage which had extended through 60% of the steering column.
Williams' experts have now agreed the column was cracked, but they argue that only 21-40% of it was affected, so the steering would have remained operational.
Further video evidence would show if Ayrton Senna spent his last moments fighting for the control of an uncontrollable car, or whether he already knew he was merely a passenger…

It was Passarini's opinion that Head and Newey were ultimately responsible for the bad design and workmanship of the steering column modifications carried out on Ayrton Senna's Williams-Renault. In his closing statement (at the trial) Passarini had asked that both Head and Newey receive one year suspended sentences.
Although the judge stated that - It was the breaking of the modified steering column that caused Ayrton Senna's Williams-Renault to leave the track at the Tamburello curve - he had found both defendants 'Not Guilty'.
