Mas continua a estar um ou dois passos atrás do que foi conseguido com os outros sedans referidos.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia continues to be a big discussion point amongst the wider Car Design News team.
Here in Geneva the Giulia chat escalated as Alfa launched the lesser models, with all previous experience being of the high-performance QV version.
And it's a universal opinion that the more common-or-garden variants appear far better resolved, especially around the nose.
While the QV is almost brutally flat in plan shape, with a strange disconnect between the car's face and its body, here the grille flows in the hood surface more comfortably and the lamps appear to wrap more natually into the bodyside.
The removal of the very heavy lower body treatment has lightened the whole feel of the car, leaving – at least in my opinon – an understated and elegant sedan that I suspect will look impressive on the road.
However there is still a niggling feeling that it fails to continue the passion and 'want one' lineage of the sublime 156 and 159.
