Acabei de descobrir que os modelos que tenho aquirido como Corgi Juniors eram os anteriormente chamados Husky Models. Estamos sempre a aprender
"These were a range of toys made by Mettoy, the Company famous for the Corgi brand of model cars. The first models appeared in 1964 and were sold exclusively by Woolworth's. They were made to a similar scale as the then current Lesney 1-75 models and the range covered a wide variety of vehicle types. The bodies were made from die cast metal and the bases, wheels and interiors were made from plastic so they were not as robust as the Lesney range. Later the wheels were made from metal and had rubber tyres fitted. The bases were made from chromed plastic and had a U shaped slot at each end for the axles to sit in, These also worked as the suspension springs and were not very strong so when the suspension broke the wheels would disappear up into the body. The range was later renamed to "Corgi Juniors" and when the thinner axles and speedwheels were fitted it was renamed yet again to "Corgi Rockets".

Há uma Vw com torre hidraulica do mesmo ano

Deixo vos aqui o folheto/catalogo de 1966 da Husky tem uns apontamentos meus da altura pois tinha o mau costume de lhes fazer rabiscos

Vamos lá à verdade dos factos a Husky quando acaba passa a Corgi Rockets 1971 e 1972 para fazer face à concorrencia da Mattel com os Hot Wheels que apareceram em 1968
Em 1972 aparece a Corgi Juniors em que o catalogo traz novos carros e alguns modelos Husky e Corgi Rockets mas na base já trazem a nova inscrição Corgi Juniors

Por acaso tenho uma colecçao antiga (desde que era puto) de algumas carrinhos da lesney (matchbox), alguns deles made in england. Tenho mais majorette. Tenho muitas raridades, nomeadamente Siku, Tomica, Dinky toys, Corgi Toys, até guisval... As fotos já tao colocadas aqui.
