The results revealed that significant chassis rust can lead to a lower Euro NCAP score than the vehicle previously achieved, placing occupants under significantly more risk. The Mazda 6’s score was reduced from a weak four-star rating to a weak three-star finish, with the car moving down from a score of 26 out of 37 to 18 out of 37.

The Golf Mk5 fell from a five-star rating to a four-star result, although its test results weren’t significant enough to place passengers under great danger. According to Thatcham’s inspection report, parts of the Mazda’s chassis were “severely covered by rust”.

http://s3.amazonaws.com/cdn.ancap.c...b68be05247c1232973e98/original.pdf?1525661966

NOTE: In March 2018 ANCAP conducted a full width frontal test
of an Australian specification Kia Sti
nger for audit test purposes.

The audit test score was 3.88 points out of 8.00 which would give an overall Adult Occupant Protection score of 85.2%

This sees
the existing 5 star ANCAP safety rating maintained
In the audit test, dummy readings indicated poor protection for the head, chest and pelvis body regions for the rear passenger.

In the full width frontal test good protection was offered to all critical body regions of the driver.
The rear passenger slipped beneath the lap portion of the seatbelt
and was not properly restrained. Rear seat belt pretensioners were fitted to test vehicles
however these are not available for Australian and New Zealand variants and a penalty was applied.

Esta parte é preocupante:

Aparentemente, a má protecção do passageiro traseiro foi devido a isto:

The rear passenger slipped beneath the lap portion of the seatbelt and was not properly restrained. Rear seat belt pretensioners were fitted to test vehicles, however these are not available for Australian and New Zealand variants
