Partiu o driveshaft (sei o que faz mas não seo o nome em português...[8)]).perdeu mais 2 minutos na 2ª PEC[8)]

Na 2ª PEC, ganha por Galli, Matias Ekstrom (DTM) ficou em 2º!!
Agora foi o Atkinson que perdeu a direcção assistida e já está a 6m30s de Gronholm! Na mesma PEC (4ª), a caixa de Solberg "saltava" para ponto-morto!!! raios partam os engenheiros da Subaru [8][8][8]

Parece que Hirvonen teve problemas, e nao partiu para a 5ª especial a mais longa do ralli.
Loeb encurta a distância para Gronholm, para 10.8s. Pena a penalizaçao de 10s que teve Loeb...ainda sssim vai ser 1 luta bem renhida !

Agora é a super-especial de 1.87km....quase de certeza que vai ser maior a diferença entre Gronholm/Loeb nesta s.especial, que na anterior de quase 40kms!

Subaru's day gets no better
Having repaired Petter Solberg's Impreza after the first pair of stages this morning, Subaru's afternoon soon returned to similar levels of frustration. Chris Atkinson went off the road near the beginning of the first stage and into a ditch. He managed to rejoin the road but the power steering failed and he was forced to drive the remainder of that stage and the next 27Km with no power assistance.
"These cars are extremely hard to drive with no power steering; more so with the mechanical differentials," he said. "We're a long way back now, probably too far back to make much difference."
Solberg's car was driving all four wheels again but his transmission began to select neutral on its own, on the second of the two repeated stages. He and co-driver Phil Mills began to notice transmission shift pressure was dropping and eventually, they lost it altogether.
They stopped and mechanically selected first gear underneath the car, and continued to service. They arrived with just two minutes to spare before going OTL. The team replaced the transmission and he was able to carry on, albeit with a further 2min10sec penalty for arriving at service late.

Este Subaru06 teve( e continua a ter, aparentemente) 1 nascimento atribulado. Se acabasse assim, com Gronholm/Loeb a pontus e P.Solberg 2 ralis sem pontos, vai-se tornando dificil depois conseguir disputar o titulo.
Já o Focus06, parece que nasceu da melhor forma....é bem capaz de ser o melhor carro do mundial ralis 06!

Com Solberg a quase 6 minutos e Atksinson a mais de 7m30, vai ser muito difícil para a Subaru obter um resultado significativo..[xx(]

Flying bonnet causes problems
Sebastian Loeb holds a solid second place at the event's first service, despite suffering a smashed windscreen on his Citroen Xsara WRC. He and co-driver Daniel Elena stopped on the road section between stages one and two, to remove their lamp pod. However, Elena forgot to replace the bonnet pins and the panel flew up and smashed the windscreen as they set off. They replaced it but the resulting cracks caused vision problems in the next, 27km stage. It also meant they arrived late and got a ten second penalty.
"In the shade it wasn't such a problem," said Loeb "but when the sun was coming at us, it was hard to see. Even on the straights, I was hitting the banks at the side of the road. But the pace is good. Marcus is very fast and we will see how we go later, as we do the same stages again."
