AUTO BOATOS: Verdade ou Mentira?

Cada vez mais se ouve falar desta ideia, em inúmeras revistas e sites do mundo automóvel. Vária fontes apontam como sendo uma futura proposta, seguindo as pisadas da Porsche.
Deixo-vos um exemplo.
Por certo que é muito controversa esta ideia.

En su momento la Porsche Cayenne era impensable, y sin embargo, se ha convertido en el modelo más vendido de la casa alemana ¿Una SUV de Ferrari? Inconcebible quizá, pero no imposible. Nuestros compañeros de Automóvil Panamericano han realizado esta recreación de un bonito sueño y, quizás, no tan alejado.


Ahora que Chrysler y Fiat se han unido y que, parece que la primera va a comenzar a vender productos radicalmente opuestos a lo que nos tiene acostumbrados, ¿por qué no imaginar lo contrario? Eso es lo que han hecho nuestros compañeros de Automóvil Panamericano con este recreación de una futurible SUV de Ferrari.

Obviamente, el modelo sería una propuesta para rivalizar con su eterna contraparte alemana, Porsche, y aunque Ferrari jamás ha salido de su nicho de exclusivos deportivos individualistas, esta SUV no sería la excepción, pero sí desde un punto de vista diferente.

En origen no es tan incongruente pensar en un vehículo de estas características. Si vamos un poco atrás en la historia de marcas como Lamborghini, encontraremos al LM002 –o Cheetah-, uno de los primeros todoterreno de una firma de exclusivos superdeportivos y que se produjo entre 1986 y 1993. Y es que no se trata mas que de un movimiento lógico y que tradicionalmente todas las marcas han comenzado a aceptar. Lo hizo en su momento Mercedes-Benz, luego BMW y ahora hasta Porsche, con una de las camionetas más exitosas de la historia y que capitalizó la empresa para hacer el mejor “nueveonce” de la historia, así como para adquirir la mayoría accionarial del grupo VW.

Acuerdo Fiat - Chrysler
Hay que recordar que Ferrari no es una marca por sí sola, de hecho forma parte de uno de los grupos automotrices más grandes del planeta: Fiat. Con alianzas estratégicas como Alfa Romeo y Maserati sería más que factible desarrollar un nuevo bastidor común para SUVs deportivas en el grupo italiano y de esta forma tener dentro de poco rodando por las pistas del mundo una de las utilitarias más deportivas, extremas y atractivas de toda la historia. Ahora bien, tomando en cuenta la buena nueva de que Fiat ha cerrado un acuerdo de colaboración e intercambio tecnológico con Chrysler, podríamos hasta pensar que esta nueva Ferrari se construyera en suelo americano; si ya lo hace BMW con X5 y X6…

Asi sería
1. El bastidor
El bastidor estaría construido con aluminio y fibra de carbono para conseguir una óptima relación peso/potencia, para de esta forma conseguir la practicidad y capacidades de un sedan grande y a la vez moverse con extrema agilidad y facilidad sobre cualquier camino, todo con la gracia y exclusividad de una marca tan emblemática como lo es Ferrari.

2. El motor
Bajo el cofre podríamos ver desde un moderno V8 naturalmente aspirado e inyección directa –como el del California y con más de 400 HP-, hasta el mismo V12 del 599 GTB con más de 600 caballos, que la posicionarían en automático como la SUV más poderosa del universo.

3. Tracción
El único tema que estaría flotando en el aire es el sistema de tracción integral permanente. Porsche en su momento hizo el desarrollo en conjunto con VW para la Touareg, por lo que no sería extraño ver un moderno sistema de reparto de torque entre ejes y vías desarrollado a partir de lo que ya tiene el grupo Fiat o incluso uno comprado y adaptado de otra armadora como Mercedes-Benz o BMW.

Seguramente de llegar a ver semejante SUV en las calles del mundo tendrá todo lo necesario para continuar con la tradición de exclusividad y capacidades de una marca como Ferrari. Según los rumores que hemos escuchado, la decisión final de un Ferrari como este depende únicamente de que los máximos directivos de Modena entiendan que frente a ellos tienen una de las mejores oportunidades de la compañía para capitalizarse y, lejos de alejar a su exclusiva clientela, la incrementarían mucho más de lo que alguna vez imaginaron.

Opel Calibra
O modelo anterior do Calibra foi comercializado entre 1990 e 1997 com o fabrico de 240 mil unidades.
Diversas fontes da especialidade alemãs dão como praticamente certo o ressurgimento em 2011 do Opel Calibra. De carroçaria Sportcoupé, poderá ter um motor de topo a gasolina de 2 litros a debitar 250cv. Também a gasolina falam do motor 1.4 de 130cv e 1.6 de 200cv.
Para o diesel remetem para motores de 2 litros entre os 110cv e os 190cv do biturbo.

Para os amantes do modelo, adianto que algumas fontes sugerem que o modelo já está em fase de execução.

Lexus IC (Compact) ou BS

Segundo informações, a Lexus está fortemente empenhada na criação de um modelo compacto a apresentar em 2011.
Sendo um modelo de uma marca de luxo, apostará na qualidade, fiabilidade e conforto, devendo concorrer com o A3, série 1 e Golf.
Será baseado na plataforma MC Utilizada no Toyota Auris e RAV4, ou Lexus IS, mas com roupagem Lexus.
Irá ter motorizações híbridas logo de início, à imagem do que acontece actualmente com todos os modelos da marca.
Quanto às potências dos motores, estima-se que oscilem entre os 120cv e os 300cv na versão F (esta com tracção integral derivada do RAV4). Para já só se fala das versões de 3 e 5 portas, não estando excluída a carroçaria cabrio.

O Classe A 2011 procurará ter um ar mais jovem e desportivo, concorrendo de forma mais convincente com os seus concorrentes mais directos alemães, além dos demais generalistas preferidos pela maioria relativamente ao modelo actual.
Para tal o Classe A actual irá morrer por completo.
No seu lugar nascerá um novo modelo baseado numa plataforma mais polivalente, tornando possível tanto versões de 5 portas como de 3 portas mais desportivas.
Quanto à tracção, prevê-se que será dianteira.

Ferrari nos SUV`s? Onde é que isto vai parar?

SEAT "Bluesport" e AUDI "Bluesport"
Começa a falar-se que o concept desportivo "Bluesport" recentemente apresentado pela VW irá ser alargado à Audi e à Seat (sendo que esta última há anos que vem anunciando que pretenderia apresentar um veículo deste género).

De certa forma faz algum sentido que depois da despesa efectuada na criação deste novo modelo, o grupo procure rentabilizar o investimento efectuado.

In 2001 Seat surprised the motoring world when it unveiled the sporty Tango roadster concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Up until then the brand was largely known for its lacklustre range of economical hatchbacks, not for sporty, upmarket two-doors. Nothing much was heard about the Tango for some time but then in 2006 reports started to emerge claiming the roadster concept could be given the production green light.

The once cash-strapped Seat brand is on the verge of developing a range of new models, with cars like the Ibiza, Exeo and upcoming Tribu all showing what is capable with a little component sharing with the rest of the Volkswagen Group.

The unveiling of the new Bluesport concept at last month’s Detroit Auto Show has once again ignited rumors that Seat could be planning a roadster once more. This computer generated rendering gives us a preview of what a new Seat roadster could look like, revealing styling cues borrowed from recent concepts such as the aggressive Bocanegra.

Trademark Seat features include the descending character line on its flanks, sweeping headlights, and the mesh grille and S badge. Some of the names suggested for the car include Tango and Salsa, both names used in past for previous Seat concepts.

If given the green light, the car likely wouldn’t appear until after 2011. To speed up development, powertrain options would likely include current VW Group TSI and TDI four-cylinder engines mated with manual or DSG dual-clutch transmissions.



Audi

With speculation mounting that Volkswagen’s mid-engined Bluesport roadster concept from last month’s Detroit Auto Show might be headed for production, there are a growing number of reports that suggest sister brands Audi, Seat, and possibly even Porsche, may also get their own version of the car.

The strongest indication that several variants of the roadster may be produced came from VW executive Ulrich Hackenburg, who told reporters at the Detroit event that the business case for the car could also be successful if its investment was shared with at least three brands.

This ties in with previous reports that claimed Audi is planning a lightweight roadster as well as a range of new ecological yet sporty models, and a car based on the Bluesport roadster concept but wearing an Audi badge looks entirely plausible.

This latest computer generated rendering gives us a preview of what such a car could look like, picking up cues from the bigger R8 but maintain the chiseled appearance of the Bluesport.

Jaguar aims at R8 with new mid-engine supercar

Reports from across the pond regarding Jaguar's plans for a new supercar are coming out of the woodwork, but while Autocar contends that Jag is (still) working on the return of the F-type, AutoExpress reports that an all-new mid-engine supercar is coming in concept form within the next year.

While under Ford PAG management, Jaguar cut back its development projects to its core products, but Tata figures there's more than one way to skin a cat. The F-Type was first shown as a concept car in 2000, but was subsequently shelved. However, under Tata's leadership more niche vehicles like the F-Type, which could hit the market by 2011, could make Jaguar a more compelling alternative brand to the big German automakers and help buoy Jaguar's image.

Back in 2001, Jaguar unveiled the R-Coupe concept, which could influence this new Audi R8 competitor. Based on the current XK, and possibly named the XE, the mid-engine coupe would be powered by the XFR's 503-hp supercharged, 5.0-liter V8 and would be the first vehicle from Jag with an engine mounted amidships since the XJ220. According to Jaguar's managing director, Mike O'Driscoll, the "XK is the car that began a revolution for us, but it's not the end of the story. I firmly believe the best car we could build to compliment this is a flagship coupe." If it does come to fruition, expect the XE to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010.

Jaguar is getting ready to reinvent its stunning XJ220, Auto Express can sensationally reveal – and it looks likely to make a dramatic appearance at a major international motor show in the next 18 months.

According to our network of spies, the revolutionary sports car is being developed by the firm’s best engineers as a rival to the Audi R8. It’s based on an all-new aluminium chassis, which has been developed using the same know-how behind both the XJ and XK models.

The car will have aluminium panels stretched over an alloy and composite tub, while under the bonnet is likely to be a tuned version of the 503bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8, set to power the eagerly anticipated XFR. A mildly modified version of this engine has already propelled a near-showroom-spec XFR to an incredible 225mph on the Bonneville salt flats in the US. The new supercar is likely to match this figure, while the sprint from 0-60mph should take less than four seconds.

The two-seater is tipped to be called the XE, and has been styled by a team led by Ian Callum. Our exclusive pictures offer a taste of what drivers can look forward to. Pulling together the very latest in design and combining it with influences from the company’s history, the model evokes the best of Jaguar’s past and present.

At the front, there’s an oval grille – inspired by that on the E-Type – framed by narrow, ultra-efficient LED headlamps. A steeply raked windscreen keeps the car’s overall height as low as possible, while the wide rear end supports buttress C-pillars, similar to those on the new Ferrari 599 GTB. As in the R8 and Ferrari’s F430, the engine will be visible through the rear windscreen.

Wide air intakes dominate the model’s front end, and deep scoops in the flanks help feed cooling air to the supercharged engine. Yet despite the new Jaguar’s huge performance potential, environmental credentials are set to be at the top of the agenda. CO2 emissions will be less than 300g/km, while the powerplant will be capable of running on biofuel-blended petrol – so the newcomer will be one of the cleanest high-performance cars money can buy. Liberal use of lightweight materials, including aluminium and carbon fibre, will further improve the machine’s fuel efficiency and performance.

Despite Auto Express’s scoop, Jaguar is denying this car exists. A spokesperson insisted that it was not in the company’s product plans… Speaking at the Detroit Motor Show, Jaguar managing director Mike O’Driscoll didn’t rule out the potential to add to the line-up, but claimed the company’s focus at present was solidly on the XK, XF and forthcoming XJ.

“I’d love Jaguar to build a sports car one day,” he said. “It would complement our flagship XK coupé. The brand is all about producing great sports cars and sports saloons.”

Segundo a Autozeitung, a VW irá lançar em 2010 o concorrente do futuro Opel Astra sedan (As****).
O estilo interior e exterior beberá da nova linhagem da marca, e contará igualmente das novas motorizações disponíveis no Golf VI. No exterior, espera-se uma maior diferenciação relativamente ao Golf.

Segundo a imprensa alemã, nas novas linhas apresentadas no Série 7, no X1 concept e mais recentemente no PAS, estarão já "apresentadas" as formas e "ideologias estéticas" que farão parte do próximo Série 3.
Fontes referem que já está pré-desenhado o novo Série 3 que será apresentado no Salão de Frankfurt de 2011 e estará à venda dentro de precisamente 3 anos.
Este modelo redesenhado contará com toda a gama de melhores motorizaçãos da marca, que alargará o leque de biturbos, tentando diminuir a cilindrada dos seus motores baixando os consumos e emissão de gases.

Assim sendo, já começam a aparecer os primeiros desenhos feitos por computador tentando adivinhar as linhas do futuro modelo.
Atendendo aos elementos estilísticos incluídos na linhagem recente, não será difícil imaginar que o rendering terá alguma credibilidade.

Futuro Classe A
A notícia já tem uns meses, mas os renders são relativamente recentes.

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz A and B-Class are having a rough gestation and will likely see their respective release dates pushed back because of problems with securing a final design for their new platform. The cars were originally expected to debut at the end of the decade but because Mercedes can’t find a partner to share development work the new models are now likely to arrive in late 2011.

Mercedes was hoping to co-develop new engines and platforms for the cars with BMW but the talks ended abruptly this week because officials deemed the synergies from such a partnership were too small to make the deal worthwhile. Instead, Mercedes will develop its own platforms and powertrains for the new compact models and will also focus on keeping costs low. One of its key strategies is to move production from the current Rastatt plant in Germany to a low cost site in Eastern Europe.

The cars will be built on a new FWD platform codenamed MFA (Mercedes Frontwheel Architecture), which drops the former sandwich construction for a more conventional car-like design. This means the cars will sit much lower than current models, possibly even lower than the BMW 1-series and Audi A3.

According to German sources there will likely be the regular hatch, a new mini-SUV, a sports hatch, and a possible four-door coupe model all spawned from the new MFA platform. The main reason for increasing the number of fuel-efficient compact models is to help Mercedes reduce its fleet-average carbon emissions as well as boost sales
