But it was only when I had to speak and write more fluently, that I saw that what I knew so far was not enough. Now, I make an effort to don't read Portuguese subtitles on TV series, and practice conversation as much as possible.

On my last trip to the US, they said I was "OK" (which I think it means that I have a "shitty" English )
