Zagato to build Viper-based Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale
Milanese coachbuilder and design house Zagato is known for some unspeakably beautiful works of rolling art. The Perana Z-One and Fiat 500 Coupe are two recent examples that have caught our eye, but even Zagato managed to out-do itself with the stunning TZ3 Corsa.

Unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este nearly a year ago, the TZ3 stands as Zagato's continuation of a line that started in the 1960s with the TZ1 and TZ2 specials, which remain collectors' favorites to this day. The TZ3 was commissioned by a private customer and was set to be a one-off, but the latest reports from Europe suggest that Zagato is preparing to roll out a limited production run of street versions – which could have been what Zagato was hinting at with its holiday greetings.

Dropping the race-specific Corsa designation, the TZ3 Stradale would not be, as the concept car was, based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Instead, its borrow its underpinnings would reportedly be borrowed from the Dodge Viper, no doubt facilitated by the fact that Alfa and Dodge are under common management these days. The Viper's 8.4-liter V10 engine would reportedly be part of the mix as well, tuned to deliver as much as 612 horsepower, making this one report we hope comes to fruition... and to our driveways.

UPDATE: Zagato has confirmed to Autoblog the development of the project, as the second step that started with the pictured TZ3 Corsa one-off.

Perdemos o v8 by Ferrari/Maserati e os 850kg de peso, para um Viper reestilizado.
 
Nem é tanto pelo motor do Viper, mas mais pelo carácter da maquina.
Um Viper respira músculo americano por todos os poros.
Dar-lhe um fato italiano não fará dele um desportivo italiano nos moldes a que estamos habituados vindos daquele país.
Continuará a ser um Viper.

Unidades vendidas em Março de 2011 na Europa:
ITÁLIA: + 51 % (4.165 do Giulietta, 3134 Diesel Multijet!!)
FRANÇA: 1.761 un + 78 %
ESPANHA: 686 un + 121 %
HOLANDA: 429 un + 102 % (Giulietta 307 - MIto 101 - 159 17 - Brera 2 - GT 2)
SUÉCIA: 59 un + 490 %

TOTAL ALFA - MARÇO 2.011 (provisório): 10.109.

TOTAL ALFA - MARÇO 2010: 9.826.

Superaram já o total de Março de 2010, e ainda falta apurar as vendas do resto da Europa; na prática com uma gama de dois modelos[kiss]! A AR tem assim que continuar a estender a gama, sendo essencial o aparecimento do novo Giulia e a consolidação do Giulietta e Mito pois, por exemplo os novos S1 e A3 estão aí a aparecer...

Bom registo também da Fiat na Holanda, com um crescimento de 99 % tendo vendido 4700 carros, é assim a segunda marca atrás da VAG.

Il brand Alfa Romeo ha registrato in Germania un incremento delle immatricolazioni del 153,7% a 1.332 unita’ per una quota di mercato dello 0,4% a marzo e del 94,7% a 3.022 unita’ nel primo trimestre 2011 (0,4% la quota di mercato). Lo si apprende dal sito ufficiale della Borsa Italiana. La Giulietta e la MiTO continuano a farsi apprezzare anche all’estero.[:cool:]

Eu creio que foram vendidos 8 em Portugal.
Os que há actualmente registados cá, não faço ideia (nem sei se essa informação está disponível).

Não é essa a informação que me foi dada.
Foi-me dito que existem na realidade 8 75 de 3L em Portugal, sendo que 7 deles foram importados e matriculados cá, usados, e apenas um foi importado de Itália para ser vendido cá como novo.

Mas vou ver se descubro como é na realidade.[;)]
