Opel Astra (2015)

The 2016 Opel/Vauxhall Astra has been envisioned with a more premium exterior styling.

Opel's Astra K is set to receive a more upscale look influenced by the Monza concept and could also borrow a few styling cues from the Adam. It will be the first Astra ever to be manufactured outside Germany as we already know assembly will take place in Ellesmere Port, UK and Gliwice, Poland. It is believed the vehicle will be slightly larger than today's model which should enable a more spacious interior cabin.

According to a recent report, the new Astra is set to undergo a major diet as the hatchback will drop as much as 100 kg (220 lbs). The seventh generation could also bring an independent rear suspension which will replace the Watts link setup of the current model. A newly developed six-speed manual gearbox weighing 37 kg will most likely be available and matched with a new generation of efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. The Corsa's 115 PS 1.0-liter EcoTec three-cylinder turbocharged motor will likely be on offer as well.

First to come out will be the hatchback in the second half of 2015 before going on sale early 2016. It will be followed by wagon, coupe and sedan versions while OPC versions are also in the works to sit on top of the range. Opel has previously announced the Astra will enter production in 2015 and the K generation will last until the early 2020s.

Dessas 2 RENDER´S acho que seja o 1º,mas gostava que fosse o que aparece no inicio do tópico.Se tiver uma estética exterior ao nivel da do interior acho que pode vir a ser um Astra ao nivel dos F e G.
 
Esta imagem, mostra um Astra ( talvez um derivado SUV do Astra que já se tinha falado por aqui) que eu gosto e não me importava nada que sai se assim

The auto manufacturer has recently finished development the latest Chevrolet Cruze, which comes on the market as a 2016 model. Currently General Motors is working on development the new generation of the Opel Astra.

In spite of camouflage, we have noticed the prototype has five doors and the same proportions as the current model.


The back part of the novelty is similar to the Monza concept introduced last year, but the first part looks as the Opel Adam.


The next generation of Astra will be also available in a few variants: a sedan, GTC coupe and Sports Tourer wagon as well.


All Astra’s versions will be equipped with the auto manufacturer’s new-developed powertrain Ecotec. There will be four-cylinder and three-cylinder, diesel and gasoline units. Moreover, the carmaker plans to add the lineup with hybrid and high-performance models.


The current version Astra was produced in 2009, then, it was updated in its middle cycle two years ago. So, the next generation of Opel Astra is planned to come in two years, in 2016. Surely, this novelty will be officially presented in Frankfurt next year.


The updating of the Astra is a part of Opel brand’s strategy includes to launch 17 new powertrains, 27 new models by 2018.


Besides the Astra, there are renewed models such as the Corsa and Insignia including their versions.


The carmaker will sell the Opel Astra in Europe, on the Australian auto market there will be a car under the Holden brand. Moreover, this new Astra may be a basis for the new generation of the Buick Verano.
 
É uma possivel, Astra Country Tourer,já agora dentro desses hipotéticos 27 novos lançamentos gostava muito que tivesse um novo calibra e um novo Tigra!!

Poderá estar vamos ver, para revitalizar a marca é preciso novos e bons lançamentos, o Calibra e o Tigra são nichos e sinceramente eles precisam é de vendas, essas vendas neste momento centram-se em Suv's e é para lá que caminhamos 1º lançam o Astra hatch, e ST mais tarde a Country e a seguir o Suv. Só acredito que voltem a apostar nos nichos quando tiverem uma gama abrangente, talvez no novo Insignia lá para 2020
 
Em 2016,saíra o Insignia B e á cerca de duas/trés semanas um responsável da Opel,disse que nessa mesma altura poderá fazer-se o ançamento de um novo Calibra,mas tambem pode ser só conversa.
