Porsche is systematically building up its expertise in the field of cell chemistry for high-performance batteries. In order to meet the extreme demands placed on cell systems in high-performance applications, it is necessary to change the cell chemistry from graphite to silicon anodes. New electrolytes and additives allow operation even at temperatures above 75 degrees Celsius.

Such innovative high-performance batteries based on silicon will be used initially in limited-production, high-performance vehicles and in customer motorsport. However, volume and power cells will also benefit from the technological experience gained. Porsche will also ensure that there is a completely European production chain for high-performance batteries.

Plans for Porsche fast-charging stations with lounge areas

Porsche is planning its own fast-charging stations along the most important European major highways and motorways. Marc Gemballa will revisit the Porsche 992 with 959 sauce

Marc Philipp Gemballa is preparing the "Project Sandbox": a supercar based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S, inspired by the Paris-Dakar Porsche 959 and which will be powered by RUF Automobile.

Marc Philipp Gemballa, who is none other than the son of the founder of Gemballa, Uwe Gemballa, no longer has any links with the German preparer, whose company "Gemballa GmbH" was taken over after the death of his father. At the age of twenty-six, he founded his own company "Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH" (MPG), and last year announced the preparation of his very first model.

This supercar will be inspired by the legendary Porsche 959 which won the Paris-Dakar rally in 1986, but will be a version approved for the road, with off-road skills. Although its features and design have not yet been fully disclosed, Marc Philipp Gemballa having only presented a few sketches of the model, the 10 copies of the launch limited edition have already been ordered. Ultimately, only 40 examples of this Porsche will be produced.

Pending his official presentation, Marc Philipp Gemballa has announced a partnership with RUF Automobile, which will supply the engines: this is the 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat six of the Porsche 911 Turbo S (Type 992), reworked by RUF to develop the trifle of 750 hp and a torque of 930 Nm, a gain of 100 hp and 130 Nm compared to the standard version.

"Find Of The Century" - Rare 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder Found In Shipping Container

On Mar. 26, Old Crow Speed Shop's Facebook page posted a picture of a weathered green shipping container. The post read:

"You won't believe what @large_hands_grant and I found in this shipping container! Stay tuned, I will reveal it later today. Anyone care to take a guess?

About two hours later, on that Friday, Old Crow Speed Shop revealed they found what appears to be a pristine 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder.

Only 90 of the 1200-pound aluminum-bodied cars were ever built, making it an extremely rare car. About three years ago, only of these cars sold for $4.5 million at Pebble Beach.

Porsche in a shipping container where it's lived for 35 years. .......Until now.

O carro que ele escolheu é demasiado focado num único aspecto para ser o representante do nome "911" para a posteridade. O Touring que ele menciona já faria mais algum sentido...
